Om Shri Siddhi Vinayak Foundation has emerged out of travails the founder secretary, Ravi Mohan Ojha, and his family suffered from 2004 till middle of 2010.
Farther of Ravi Mohan Ojha, Pt Kartar Nath Ojha, a prominent citizen of Pratapgarh with important contribution in district and state politics, got cancer in January 2004. He was first taken to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. But facilities in this premier medical institute of the country could not satisfy him. Ravi then took his father to Rajv Gandhi Cancer Institute, where in his words he got more than he wanted. Pt Kartar Nath Ojha survived for 7 years and 4 months from the date of cancer detection and passed away on July 11, 2010.
During the illness of his father Ravi saw not only the travails of his father but also of other patients and their families at both AIIMS and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute. After Ravi got over from the pain of losing his father, he decided that he would do something so sufferings of patients and their family members could be minimised.
The first step towards this direction is establishment of this foundation. And the first step that the foundation will take is to establish a multi-speciality hospital, which will provide treatment of various diseases, including cancer, to the people on a cost effective basis.
Since people suffer because of illiteracy and poverty, the foundation will also address these issues in a phased manner. The philosophy behind this is to provide voice to the segment of the society that does not have a voice.
The foundation appeals to all the concerned citizens to contribute in this pious campaign.
