Pratapgarh has a glorious prehistoric and historic past. It was through this place that Lord Rama went to the forest on exile. It is here that Yudhishthir and other Pandavas faced Yaksha in the shape of a python. The place also had a role in Kakori episode.

But today’s Pratapgarh is not even a shade of its past. Since last many years, Pratapgarh was on our target because it is one of the biggest centre producing tobacco (zarda) and gutkha (paan masaala). Not only this. It is surrounded by many more such districts like Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, Kaushambi, Allahabad, etc., which are also registered with the Human Resource Ministry as beedi industry districts.

Our motto is to serve humanity and save it from being ashamed again and again. We aim to bring about development of a region as backward as Pratapgarh and provide ultra-modern medical facilities to the people residing in the district and neighbouring districts. We aim to provide a well equipped hospital for treatment and surgery of diseases like infertility, cancer, (surgery, radiation and chemotherapy), tuberculosis, accidents (road and others, including gun shots), etc. We also plan to provide treatment and surgery of infants. The hospital will also provide employment to a number of families.

Pratapgarh is located almost in the centre of eastern region of Uttar Pradesh, without any facility for treatment of serious diseases, including cancer. As a result, people have to rush to hospitals like Tata Memorial, Mumbai, AIIMS, New Delhi, Apollo, New Delhi, and Fortis, New Delhi. This is a challenge for the poor populace as they have to incur heavy expenditure on travel and boarding and lodging, apart from expenses in hospital.

It is my sincere wish that Pratapgarh develops into an industrial area. I am taking the first step. I hope that in due course of time, external business houses will invest in the area. If this materialises, the area will develop as an industrial area in the country in due course of time and be saved from unemployment, hunger and economic slump.

It is my good luck that I am making a beginning. I am making all out efforts to provide a platform of interaction to the business houses of Pratapgarh and common man. I hope that both of them stand to gain:

1. Business and income earning are synonymous to each other. When people have more income in their hands, business will also increase.
2. The common man will earn an income only when the business houses support them.

I am of firm belief that instead of waiting for a miracle, assistance of any outsider or a company, or benevolence of an unknown government facility, it is better that one takes a step on his own. That’s why I say:
